The Electric Music Collective is an organization of composers and computer musicians loosely based in New York City. The EMC is dedicated to producing recordings and live performance events that reflect the eclectic aesthetic goals of its members.

Since its formation in 2002, EMC has been involved in a variety of projects, including festival performances and collaborations with virtuoso performers. Recent projects have included collaborations with pianists Shiau-Uen Ding, Jacob Rhodebeck, Eric Huebner, and Steven Beck, saxophonist Matthew Polashek, violinist Maja Cerar, video artist Liubo Borissov, the NeXT Ens, and many others. Recent festival performances include the American Festival of Microtonal Music in New York City, the Spark Festival in Minneapolis, and MidWest Microfest (now UnTwelve). in Chicago.

In parallel to our creative work, all EMC members collaborate in a variety of artistic and teaching engagements at key computer music centers throughout the Western Hemisphere.
