The Electric Music Collective is an organization composers and computer musicians based in New York City. The EMC is dedicated to producing live and recorded computer music events that reflect the eclectic aesthetic goals of its members.
Since its formation in 2002, EMC has been working on a variety of projects, including recordings, concerts, and collaborations with virtuoso performers. Recent projects have included collaborations with saxophonist Matthew Polashek, violinist Maja Cerar, pianist Shiau-Uen Ding, the NeXT Ens ; and concerts in Cincinnati, Minneapolis, and New York City.
In parallel to our creative work, all EMC members collaborate in a variety of artistic and teaching engagements at key computer music centers around the United States.
